If you’ve noticed my sudden disappearance from Instagram and Threads—here’s what happened. My accounts were unexpectedly suspended with no warning, and despite my attempts to appeal, I haven’t been able to recover them. The reason? It seems that Meta flagged my pen name as impersonation, even though I’m an author using it professionally.
This situation has been frustrating, not just because of the loss of my content and connections, but because it highlights the unpredictability of social media for indie writers. We put so much effort into building our platforms, engaging with readers, and creating a space for our stories—only to realize that it can all be taken away in an instant. No explanation, no recourse, just gone. And what’s worse? There’s no real way to appeal or fix the situation—Meta’s support system is a maze, designed to keep you running in circles instead of reaching actual help.
But I’m not letting this stop me. My website will be my main hub moving forward, so if you want to keep up with my writing journey, this is the place to be.
I’ll figure out my next steps soon, but for now—just know I’m still here, still writing, and The Runes She Sang is coming. No setbacks will change that.
